Grasshoppers of Europe

On June 11, 2014 Chris Haes passed away, aged 84. Chris is best known among orthopterists for one the first European books on Orthoptera accessible to the broader public: Grasshoppers and Allied Insects of Britain and Ireland, which was he published together with Judith Marshall in 1988. This publication has enormously stimulated the study of grasshoppers in the UK and Ireland, but also in the rest of Europe.
